About us

BNWCFR is a volunteer‑driven Community First Responder group serving the Blanchardstown North West area. Our mission is to provide rapid, lifesaving support during medical emergencies, working in partnership with the National Ambulance Service to strengthen the chain of survival within our community.

When a life‑threatening call is made — such as cardiac arrest, chest pain, stroke, or choking — every second counts. Because our responders live and work locally, they can often reach the patient within minutes, delivering critical early interventions like CPR, defibrillation, and essential first aid until an ambulance arrives. This fast response dramatically increases the chance of survival and improves outcomes for patients and families.

But BNWCFR is more than an emergency response team.
We are a community organisation committed to:

  • Saving lives through fast, local action
  • Supporting our neighbours in moments of crisis
  • Promoting CPR and defibrillator awareness
  • Raising funds to maintain vital equipment
  • Providing education, outreach, and public training opportunities

Our volunteers come from all backgrounds, united by a shared goal: to make Blanchardstown North West a safer, more resilient place to live. Whether responding to emergency calls, organising community events, or fundraising to keep the service equipped, every member plays an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our area.

BNWCFR exists because of the people who give their time, skills, and passion to help others — and because of the community that stands behind them. Together, we are building a stronger network of care and ensuring that help is always close at hand.
