This theme highlights the power of community support and the positive impact of sharing knowledge and skills.

About the Event

This focused workshop will equip attendees with essential, practical skills to help save a child's life in an emergency. Our trained volunteers will guide you through:

What You Will Learn

  • Baby CPR: Step‑by‑step demonstration of infant CPR, including safe chest compressions and rescue breaths.
  • Choking Response: How to recognise choking in a baby and what to do immediately using proven first‑aid techniques.
  • Emergency Awareness: When to call for help, what responders need to know, and how rapid action can make all the difference.
  • Confidence Building: Hands‑on practice (optional) in a calm, supportive environment.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is perfect for:

  • New and expectant parents
  • Grandparents and family members
  • Babysitters and childcare workers
  • Anyone in the community who wants to learn essential infant first‑aid

No prior experience is needed — just a willingness to learn and participate.

Why It Matters

International Women's Day is all about empowering our community. By learning how to respond in an infant emergency, you're not only gaining a vital skill but also contributing to a safer, more resilient Blanchardstown. This embodies the "Give to Gain" message — when we give time, knowledge, and support, our whole community benefits.
